We need to change our consumption and production patterns towards a more sustainable future. It is time to decouple economic activity from our ecological footprint – but how do we get there?
Through guided workshops, seminars, and debates, we will dive deep into topics such as green mobility and sustainable finance. The purpose is to share knowledge, find solutions, and take action for a better future. Make sure to register both for the Opening Ceremony, Seminars, and Workshop.
Opening ceremony
To start the DGF2021: Sustainable Consumption and Production, we would like to invite you to our opening session to honor what will be a fantastic day filled with keynote, debates, and workshops dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Danat Tekie, Chief External Relations at Young Sustainable Impact, will take you through the day, focusing on SDG 12 - Sustainable Consumption and Production.
- Head of Sustainability at Sparebank 1 Østlandet, Karoline Bakka Hjertø, will deliver the keynote speech focusing on how Sparebank 1 Østlandet paves the way for the banking & finance sectors crucial role to introduce new products and services with a focus on sustainability actively.
- The session will continue with informative lectures on the progress to mobilize the private sector’s focus on addressing sustainability challenges by Bjørn Kjærand Haugland, CEO at Skift Norway.

Karoline Bakka Hjertø
Head of Sustainability at Sparebank 1 Østlandet
Karoline Bakka Hjertø, Head of Sustainability at Sparebank 1 Østlandet. She has been working with sustainability issues and human rights in different aspects for most of her working life. Karoline is passionate about sustainable development, both in the economic, environmental and social meaning of the term, and she is engaged in justice, equal opportunities for all, especially for children. Karoline has worked with social entrepreneurs, responsible for building and structuring the business side of the companies.

Valentin Gentile
Consultant at Carbon Limits and Daily Operations Manager at Wecycle
After completing a MSc in Industrial Ecology, he participated in several ideation events, contributed to setting up a plastic recycling organisation and recently joined a team of passionate consultants. He now has a hand in circular economy and climate change mitigation projects. Convinced by the necessity of implementing change in society, his aim is to pursue impactful and meaningful activities that enable sustainability.

Bjørn Kjærand Haugland
CEO in “Skift – Business Climate Leaders”
He is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer in DNV GL Group, which gave him extensive experience assisting multinational companies in areas such as sustainability, climate change and innovation. Throughout his career, Haugland has had multiple leadership roles in both Norway, Korea and China.

Alexander Sem
Strategy and Operations Officer, Development Goal Forum
With a broad background in strategy, branding, marketing, and communication, Alexander is passionate about innovation that can accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. As Strategy and Operations Officer at Development Goals Forum, he aspires to live up to this notion by bringing over 15 years of experience from the private sector & IT industry.

Amar Bokhari
CEO & Social Entrepreneur, Bokhari AS
Amar is a passionate social entrepreneur with decades of experience in the field of humanitarian and development work. He is a tireless defender of human rights, with a particular focus on children and women’s rights. This focus is reflected in his vision that Bokhari should be a contributing force towards more sustainable solutions, putting peope and the planet first. As CEO at Bokhari, Amar is responsible for the day-today operations of the company, as well as strategic development. Amar lives in Oslo, Norway, with his three daughters and wife, Noor.

Danat Tekie
Chief External Relations at Young Sustainable Impact
Danat Tekie is a passionate young serial-entrepreneur. She is one of the Co-Founders and the Chief External Relations of the global organisation Young Sustainable Impact (YSI). Prior to YSI, Danat was part of developing the organisation Future Leaders Global in the Nordics. She is passionate about leadership and making sustainability business as usual. She has an educational background in organization, leadership and sustainable business strategy from University Inland and NHH in Norway, and Stellenbosch in South Africa.
